Gujarat Explosion: Explosion happened at a Pharma company in Sarigam GIDC, Gujarat’s Valsad District
A massive explosion that caused a fire in a petrochemical firm in Gujarat’s Valsad district on the 27th of February night resulted in at least two deaths and two injuries.
Around 11 p.m., the explosion happened at a company in Sarigam GIDC.

The injured were sent right away to a nearby hospital.

After knowing about the incident, fire tenders were also called into action. Even so, because the firefighters were not aware of the chemical that caused the blast before the fire, they were unable to use water to extinguish it.
“We received a call that a fire had broken out. We found two bodies and Two people are admitted to the hospital. When we reached here with the firefighters there were no security personnel. We couldn’t start the fire fighting operation as we are not sure, which chemical is there, which has caused the fire,” Rahul Murari, firefighter Sarigam, told the media.
“Two people killed and two were injured in a blast that occurred at a company in Sarigam GIDC around 11.30 pm yesterday night,” Vijay Singh Gurjar, SP, Valsaid said. He also added that the rescue operation has been stopped temporarily, which will be resumed in the morning.
The reasons behind the blast are yet to be investigated.
