Intense showers have caused water logging in many parts of Delhi NCR and especially in the underpass. There was a police rider posted nearby to ensure no vehicle is driven into the submerged area, however, one XUV 700 breached the alert and bravely ventured into the water. The car was engulfed in water within a short time and it was soon to flip over. While neighbours came to the rescue and managed to drag the occupants out of the water, one of the victims was found dead at the scene and the other died of his wounds in BK Hospital known as Badshah Khan Civil Hospital. Attempts to recover the submerged car using a rope was, however, successful in the long run.
