Erode, Tamil Nadu: Aged 58, a woman kills alcoholic husband using a machete in Namakkal Palayam village and then fled the scene, as per police reports on Sunday. The couple, Balu (65) and Eswari, had been living separately in a rented house for a few months, and they have three married daughters. Balu’s alcoholism led to frequent fights with his wife, Eswari. On Saturday night, during one such altercation, Eswari allegedly stabbed her husband with a machete, resulting in his death. After the incident, she fled the house.

Police Pursue Suspect Eswari:
After being informed about the incident, the police promptly reached the location, recovered the victim’s body, and transported it to Erode Government Medical College Hospital, Perundurai, for a post-mortem examination. A murder case has been filed against Eswari, and the police are currently searching for her.
