According to sources, an IndiGo aircraft struck the runway while taking off from Delhi airport, causing damage to the tail portion. When the incident occurred on September 9, IndiGo flight 6E 6054 was supposed to travel to Bengaluru, according to sources. Images of the damage to the tail section reveal multiple white dents on the aircraft skin’s blue paint, suggesting a significant tailstrike.
When an aircraft’s tail strikes the runway during takeoff or landing, it is known as a tailstrike. This can be hazardous since it can result in structural damage, particularly to the pressurized cabin’s rear pressure bulkhead, which is a cone-shaped section of the aircraft’s tail.

The pilot notified the air traffic controller (ATC) of the situation right away, and the ATC then approved the landing. Reports stated that the airplane made a safe landing. Nobody was hurt.
