Mayapuri Water Initiative; Kejriwal Ensures 20L RO water daily, 500 water ATMs planned for safe water access in Delhi.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal recently visited the Mayapuri area to inspect newly installed Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants. He announced that each resident in the area will receive 20 liters of purified water daily through four water ATMs. The government plans to set up 500 such ATMs in slums and densely populated areas.
Equal Access to Clean Water:
Kejriwal compared the water ATM card to a home RO system, emphasizing that now even the less privileged can access clean drinking water. The RO plants will treat water drawn from tube wells, ensuring safe distribution through the ATMs.
