Khedkar was found guilty of breaking the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2022 guidelines, according to the UPSC. She is charged with using the reservation designated for people with physical disabilities and other backward classes (OBC) fraudulently in order to pass the UPSC exam. Her application for the 2023 batch of IAS under CSE-2022 has been withdrawn as a result, and she will never be allowed to retake any UPSC exams.

After closely reviewing the records that were accessible, the UPSC determined that she had violated the CSE-2022 Rules. The UPSC announcement stated, “Her provisional candidature for the CSE-2022 has been cancelled, and she has also been permanently barred from all future Examinations/Selections of the UPSC.”

The trial judge has refused Khedkar anticipatory bail in this matter. The Delhi Police was also directed by the court to expand their investigation and look into the possibility that any other individuals would have been eligible for OBC and PwD quotas but would not have taken advantage of them. Additionally, it has been mandated that the Delhi Police investigate whether any UPSC personnel assisted Khedkar. Khedkar contends that the accusations made against her are untrue and that she is being marked out for harassment because she filed a complaint alleging sexual harassment against higher-ranking authorities. She has also claimed that she is the target of a witch hunt by the media.
