Empowering Youth: Delhi Govt Launches Internship Portal for Green Internships to Foster Environmental Engagement and Conservation
Delhi’s Environment Minister, Gopal Rai, recently unveiled a new internship portal aimed at engaging the youth in the fields of environment and forest. The primary objective of this initiative is to raise awareness about the functioning of the forest and wildlife department. In order to encourage the youth to actively contribute to Delhi’s ecological security, Delhi Govt Launches Internship Portal.

Green Youth Initiative:
The launch event took place at the Delhi University Polo Ground and saw the participation of MLAs from the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency, local resident welfare associations RWAs, and eco club children, who joined the minister in planting native saplings.

The internship portal https://internship.eforest.delhi.gov.in provides interested individuals with an opportunity to explore their interests in the field of forest and wildlife and gain valuable experience. It also aims to generate awareness about green jobs and offers comprehensive information on the application process.
Van Mahotsav plantation:
The Van Mahotsav plantation drive began on July 9 and will continue with weekly plantation events in all seven Lok Sabha constituencies of Delhi. Additionally, the government has set an ambitious target of planting 5.2 million saplings this year, while the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) plans to plant 5 million shrubs.
Overall, the initiative aims to empower the youth to actively contribute to Delhi’s environmental conservation and instill a sense of responsibility towards preserving the city’s natural resources.
