MCD announced Delhi schools will remain Closed on July 17-18 due to relief camps and waterlogging concerns.
The Municipal Corporation has announced that Delhi Schools will remain Closed Tomorrow due to the receding water level of the Yamuna River. According to the Directorate of Education, certain schools will remain closed on July 17 and 18. Some schools will be closed because they are being used as relief camps, while others will be closed as a precautionary measure due to waterlogging.

Relief Camps Impact:
However, all MCD schools, except the ones mentioned in the notice, will open on July 17. The schools that will remain closed due to relief camps include MCPS Palla (Girls) Narela Zone, MCPS Jahangirpuri R-Block Civil Lines Zone, MCPS Jahangirpuri EE-Block Civil Lines Zone, MCPS Jahangirpuri F&G-Block Civil Lines Zone, MCPS Zakir Nagar Hindi/Urdu Central Zone, MCPS Nangli Razapur Central Zone, and others.

The schools that will be closed due to waterlogging or precautionary measures include MCPS Inderpuri Karol Bagh Zone, MCPS Sewa Nagar-N Block Central Zone, MCPS Lajpat Nagar-I Central Zone, and MCPS Wazirabad Works Civil Lines Zone.

Online Classes During Closure:
In all the closed schools, teachers will conduct classes through online mode while working from home during regular school hours. The school authorities are also directed to assess the ground-level situation and, if there is a risk to student safety, they can close the schools with prior intimation to the Zonal head.
