Looking at the Delhi Police chargesheet accessed by Media, this information confirms that Arvind Kejriwal was accompanied by his security aide, Bibhav Kumar just when AAP MP Swati Maliwal was assaulted. This aspect has led to further questioning of partisan bias and possible collusion between Kejriwal and Kumar and subsequent actions made by other AAP leaders to possibly hinder the investigation of the incident.
Police have waited for clues from the crime scene and the chargesheet which reveals that there seems to be more to the assault than what is perceived on the surface. The shift in stance is explicitly witnessed in Atishi and Sanjay Singh who are AAP leaders and had drastically changed their stance after the attack. The very next day of the assault which occurred on May 13, Singh branded Kumar as an animal and asserted that stern action would be initiated against the latter. However, within three days of these allegations being leveled at him by Maliwal, Atishi categorically denied them in a press briefing. The irony has led many to question if there is an intentional plan to dismiss the event.

The consolidation of AAP leaders and workers in favor of Kumar has raised doubts for Swati Maliwal about conspiracy . She views this backing as a ploy by the powers that be to tap her reputation. Based on the reports of the incident and the chargesheet issued, there was a brutal and barbaric physical violation on Maliwal by Kumar as evidenced by multiple slaps, dragging her on the floor and kicking her. Even an auto driver who had come there later said that Maliwal was having physical reactions of nervousness and depression which meant how she was feeling.
