Tragedy in Rangpuri Village Delhi: Father and Four Daughters Die by Suicide
A man and his four daughters were found dead in Delhi's Rangpuri village after consuming poison. The police suspect a group suicide and are investigating.
Heartbreaking Tragedy in Delhi: Father and Four Disabled Daughters Found Dead by Suicide in Rangpuri Village After Consuming Poison
This is a tragic case wherein the body of a man and that of his four daughters were found dead in his house in Rangpuri village in Vasant Kunj in Delhi, apparently when the family consumed poison. According to reports, police found this on Friday, 27 September. The neighbors, who raised an alarm for the stench in the house, alerted the police, who had to break into the locked flat to find five bodies: Hira Lal (50) and his daughters Neetu, Nishi, Neeru, and Nidhi, all suffering from physical disabilities.

Initial investigation reveals that Hira Lal was equally shocked as his wife had succumbed to cancer just one year back. He first administered poisonous tablets to daughters and then would take them himself. Celphos tablets were found side the corpses which confirms that it is a case of murder-suicide by the group. The daughters in the family were ill and blind and feeble so the life was a very huge war for all of them.

Police are scanning the CCTV footage on September 24, that captures the father stepping inside when the house was still open before it got locked from the inside. The case has raised several questions that the authorities are looking to test if the father had taken the decision unilaterally or if some other factors have led up to the act. There are several agencies, namely Delhi Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), CBI, and doctors from Safdarjung Hospital analysing the case.
The police are waiting for the post-mortem report to know the details of this slaughter.
