On Friday night, Delhi Police arrested 4 accused of a robbery case, robbing a jeweler in Bindapur, Dwarka district of Delhi, including two robbers who were hired by a UP based couple for the plan. All the plan of the loot was made and executed by the couple as they both are the masterminds behind this robbery.

According to the police all the accused are identified as  Mohammad Samar, a resident of Budhana in Muzaffarnagar, his girlfriend Rani (23), a resident of Javli village in UP’s Loni, Rohit Dhama and Joginder also known as Kake (27), both residents of UP’s Baghpat.

The couple took the help in this robbery from two infamous robbers from Rani’s hometown, Joginder and Rohit.

Both the main accused, Samar and Rani, were working at different clothing shops in Bindapur. Samar worked just next to the victim’s shop, and kept an eye on the jeweler‘s movement for about a month before the execution of the plan.

In this one month Rani contacted the other two robbers from her hometown, Joginder and Rohit for their help to execute the robbery.

And then on late night of 11 July, when the jeweler was returning from his shop, they snatched the bag from him at a gunpoint and fled away from the location.

According to the first information report (FIR) lodged by the jeweler that night the bag contained Rs 1200 in cash with some documents and silver jewelry.

The Delhi Police launched an investigation into the incident. Initially, the CCTV footage from nearby cameras did not provide any clues. However, during inquiries with people working in the area of the jeweler’s shop, Samar was highlighted as a possible suspect.

After monitoring Samar’s movement, Police took him into custody for interrogation. After questioning and torture, Samar confessed that he executed and made this plan with his girlfriend, believing that they would find jewelry and cash worth at least Rs 50 lakhs in the jeweler’s bag. And then they would fulfill their dream of having a clothing outlet in Delhi with that money. But their luck was not that good and the bag had only a small amount of money.

According to Samar’s statement, the police arrested Rani and the other two from their home town in Loni, in Ghaziabad.
