Delhi Weather Update: Moderate Rain Expected Today Amid Yellow Alert
Delhi faces a yellow alert with moderate rain today and temperatures around 32°C. Rainfall intensity will decrease from Sunday, with varied weather through September 12.
Delhi Weather Alert: Moderate Rain Expected Today with Yellow Alert; Temperature Dips Below Normal, Weekly Forecast Includes Cloudy Skies and Light Thunderstorms
Today Delhi is on yellow alert as India Meteorological Department (IMD) is predicting rather cloudy and medium to heavy rainfall in Delhi. The maximum temperature in capital has gone down to 32 while the area has witnessed 37 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours. 6 degrees Celsius, which is cooler than ideal for the given season but close to the expected amount. This is referred to as the ‘yellow’ alert, which means that the weather might worsen making it difficult for people to go about their daily activities. These conditions have included temperature ranging between 26 and 28 degree Celsius and humidity between 81 and 100 percent.

For today, the forecasted high temperature is 32 degrees Celsius whereas the low is expected to be at 24 degrees Celsius. A lot of rain is expected to be received for the next few days but the IMD has indicated that rainfall is expected to reduce in intensity from next Sunday. Temperatures are expected to reduce with humidity levels while there are expectations of reduced moisture levels though may could precipitate infrequent showers.
Forecast for the week starting 8th September in Delhi-NCR will be as follows: It is expected that temperature maybe high at 35 degree Celsius and low at 26 degree Celsius. Clouds with light showers and thunderstorms are expected on 8th of September while partly cloudy conditions with little or no rain and thunderstorms on the 9th of September. These partly cloudy condition with possibility of drizzles are expected to prevail until September 10 and 11. Wind will range from 4 to 16 km/h during this period. On September 12, the sky should be, generally, cloudy with light rain or thunder storms expected.
