Connaught Place Traffic Restrictions
No vehicle will be allowed to move towards Connaught Place beyond specified points like R/A Mandi House, R/A Bengali Market, Patel Chowk, and Windsor Place, etc. All three circles of Connaught Place will be off-limits for the vehicles except for those who have passes.
Diversion around India Gate
As there is a prospect of a crowd near India Gate, the routes from Q-Point, R/A MLNP, R/A Sunheri Masjid, Rajpath Rafi Marg, and Mathura Road will be diverted. In this regard, the authorities are requesting commuters to avoid these areas and take an alternative route.
Security Arrangements in Other Parts of Delhi
Almost 20,000 police and paramilitary personnel are deployed, but Delhi Police seems to be not leaving any stone unturned for the maintenance of law and order. Deputy Commissioner Devesh Kumar Mahla underlined special arrangements for such popular spots like Connaught Place, Khan Market, and five-star hotels like The Lalit, Shangri-La, and Taj Palace.
The key security provisions include two ambulance vans, two fire tenders, bomb disposal squads, SWAT teams, and patrolling units. It also includes door-frame metal detectors, plain clothes officers, and vehicle checking parties for keeping an eye on the parking lots.

To facilitate this, QR tickets with Rajiv Chowk as the destination will not be issued via DMRC’s mobile app after 8 PM. The rest of the network will run as usual.
Guidelines for Commuters
The Delhi Traffic Police urges commuters to plan their journey well in advance and use public transport to avoid congestion. Avoiding restricted areas will save time and make the experience smoother.
