On Monday, a heart wrenching video of a cloudburst that led to a landslide in Chewa village of Himachal Pradesh district got circulated on social media. The video instilled fear and panic among the local people of the region. The landslide and floods proved detrimental to the residents and shops of the Thunag area.

A terrifying video got viral on social media of the floating houses, trees and shops inundated with floods caused by cloudburst in the northern parts of India. Heavy rainfall of 135mm on Sunday struck Himachal Pradesh which broke the record of the past 50 years.

Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sauku appealed to the locals to stay at home amid the possibility of heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours. On Monday he shared three helpline numbers: 1100,1070,1077. The helplines are shared to tackle the cases of people who were in any difficulty. Sauku asked the MLAs to stay alert for their areas and assist the people who need any compensation or people in difficulty.
