Vigilance Ensured by Delhi Police: Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey emphasized the strict vigilance maintained by police and paramilitary personnel to uphold law and order. The safety of residents in northeast Delhi is a top priority, with 43 identified hotspots receiving increased night patrolling. Peace Committee Meetings and Enhanced Patrolling: To counter misinformation and potential unrest, Delhi Police conducted at least 29 meetings with peace committee members. Patrolling will be intensified in various parts of northeast Delhi, with additional paramilitary personnel expected to arrive on Tuesday.

Immediate Implementation of CAA Rules: With the unveiling of the CAA rules just days before the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections, the Modi government is set to grant Indian nationality to persecuted non-Muslim migrants from three countries – Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis, and Christians. According to a gazette notification, these rules come into effect immediately.
