During his recent visit to the US, Rahul Gandhi spoke with college students and Indian diaspora residents. Gandhi’s comments about the role of the RSS and unemployment in India during his tour prompted harsh criticism from the BJP and its ally TDP. The Leader of the Opposition also discussed reservations and the state of Sikhs in India. The BJP even called Gandhi a “black spot” in Indian democracy for his remarks made abroad, accusing him of “promoting” China and “undermining” India.
As a responsible Indian citizen, Joshi added that Rahul Gandhi’s remarks spoken on foreign land are not at all accurate. The MP claimed that Rahul Gandhi’s words could impact the internal stability of the country, the security of the borders, and foreign ties since he is misusing the status of the Leader of Opposition.
“Rahul Gandhi’s remarks raise questions about his behaviour because they are not only political but also anti-national. Joshi stated in his letter that “because he is abusing his position, his remarks have the potential to undermine both national stability and international relations.”
Participant Joshi’s proposal was supported by Rajasthan BJP general secretary and MLA Jitendra Gothwal, who proposed that Gandhi’s membership in Parliament be removed in addition to his passport being cancelled. Gothwal claimed that Gandhi had tried to damage India’s standing abroad.
