He also disclosed a fictitious document that purportedly had Sandip Ghosh’s signature and approved the remodeling project. “On August 10, just one day after the victim’s passing, Sandip Ghosh, the previous director of RG Kar Medical College, signed the order. The Police Commissioner refuted claims of altering the crime scene made by protestors and colleagues,” he said on X. ( The accuracy of the order cannot be independently confirmed by OWN)
Sandip Ghosh sent a memo to the executive engineers of various PWD agencies in Kolkata, stating that the hospital’s officials intended to fix the attached restrooms.

“I would like to inform you about issues in the separate attached toilets and doctors’ rooms that are on duty in various departments of RGKMC&H, Kolkata. Please take urgent action in accordance with the request of the RGKMC&H residents’ doctors. The alleged letter claims that the matter was already discussed and settled during the meeting with the director of medical education and the principal secretary of the Department of Health and Family Welfare of the government of West Bengal today.
The opposition led by the BJP claimed that attempts were being made to tamper with evidence at the crime scene after renovation work came to light.
When the victim’s relatives disclosed that the hospital authorities had informed them the woman had committed suicide, Sandip Ghosh’s involvement in the murder became the subject of intense scrutiny. According to the victim’s father, they had to wait more than three hours to see his daughter’s body.
