From Patiala Jail to Mumbai: The Chilling Assassination Plot of Baba Siddique Orchestrated by the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
The gruesome murder of Baba Siddique has revealed the link between a criminal organization and a plan from behind bars. Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar, a resident of Jalandhar, Punjab has germinated as a main culprit of this horrendous crime. Preliminary investigations by the police show that Akhtar was the master minder of the three attackers who launched the attack on Siddique. The incident occurred around 9:30 PM when two unknown attackers equipped themselves with a 9.9 mm pistol fired six shots at the former Maharashtra minister resulting in serious critical injuries to the latter. Unfortunately Siddique died in Lilavati Hospital even after he received proper medical treatment for the injuries he sustained.

Quackery investigations pointed that while imprisoned in Patiala Jail, Akhtar form connections with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He was released from jail on June 7 and immediately moved to Mumbai where he arranged everything for the murder. During the fateful day, he was in touch with the shooters, receiving from them latest updates on the movements of Siddique.

A man identified as Gurmel Singh from Kaithal, Haryana was among the attackers with two others from Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Akhtar failed in his attempt to murder his wife but he escaped police capture after they formed different teams to arrest him. A bloody example of this is the fact that the actions that began with arranging a meeting through prison relations can turn into a fatal fatal plot.
