Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi shared insights into the arrangements made for logistics and informed that the number of people visiting Ayodhya was “usually one lakh every day, but on New Year’s Day, this would swell to 4-5 lakh. During the Mahakumbh, we can expect between 25 to 30 million visitors who will arrive on different days,” he said.

The municipal corporation has focused on the basic necessities, such as cleanliness, drinking water, and transportation. E-buses and golf carts have been arranged for smooth movement, while colorful decorative lights are to be put in place across the city. Measures are also in place to deal with the chill of winter through the establishment of shelters and warm resting spaces to make pilgrims comfortable.

Dr. Anil Mishra, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said that an effective system has been developed so that the increasing number of devotees can be regulated. “Visitors can enter the temple through seven lines, and it is very smoothly and systematically done. And at the traveler facility centre, pilgrims can safely store their belongings, be it mobile phones or bags, and there is also such a spacious hall for around 2,000 people over there,” he explained.
