Will You Arrest Arvind Kejriwal Again?’: HC To ED On Plea To Cancel Delhi CM’s Bai
Earlier on Wednesday the Delhi High Court has partially agreed with the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which filed a petition so that the bail of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal be withdrawn. Questioning what was left in its challenge after the Supreme Court has granted him interim bail, the High Court questioned the E D pointing out, “Are you going to arrest him again?”
After the concealment charges which were taken up before the court of Justice Neena Bansal Krishna, ED emphasized to the judge that Kejriwal’s arrest has not been unlawful hence they requested an adjournment because ASG SV Raju will be handling the case.
On the other hand major Aam Aadmi Party leader’s advocate and senior counsel Vikram Choudhary opposed the prayer to adjourn the matter and quoted saying ‘this is sheer persecution…he should then argue the matter and not seek adjourn’.

At the start of this month, the HC dismissed Kejriwal’s petition against arrest by CBI and had refused bail to Kejriwal but had permitted him to move the trial court for the bail for that instance.
The court also held and found that arrest carried out by the CBI on Kerjiwal cannot be termed as having been made without sufficient cause or as unlawful.
Led by advocate Rishi Malhotra, the CBI submitted that it required an amount of Rs. 2 lakh as bond from the accused, but the trial court later on granted bail to Kejriwal on June 20 on a bond of Rs. 1 lakh. The ED moved the high court the next day challenging the said order of the trial court on the following grounds that the order was perverse, one sided and wrong sided while findings based on irrelevant facts were made.
