Ambulance Driver Misuses Siren for Clearance of Traffic for the Sake of His Hunger.
Ambulance driver in Hyderabad misuses siren for clearance of traffic then takes halt at a roadside eatery to buy snacks and drinks.
On Monday night in Hyderabad a private hospital’s ambulance driver misused the emergency siren for the sake of his hunger. He activated the siren for the clearance of traffic at a busy place, Basheer Bagh Junction after that a traffic police constable cleared the traffic immediately for the vehicle to move on. But just after some 100 meters, the driver stopped the vehicle at a roadside eatery to take some snacks and drinks for himself.
Police said on Tuesday that the traffic police man who gave clearance to the ambulance found that the ambulance was stopped near a roadside eatery instead of going to a hospital.

The traffic policeman thought it was an emergency situation so he cleared the route but after some time he noticed that an ambulance was standing on a roadside eatery just at a distance of 100 meters from the traffic signal mentioned by the traffic policeman.
After seeing the ambulance e questioned the driver, which was recorded on a video camera worn on the body of the traffic police. In the cam footage it was clearly seen that the driver was holding a fruit juice bottle in his hand and saying there were some health issues with one of the nurses.
To this, the traffic policeman said to the driver that for “Mirchi Bhajji” and juice you turn on the siren?”
According to the police there was no emergency situation and during enquiry it was found that no patient was present in the ambulance at that time and driver activated the siren only to get traffic clearance.
There were only two nurses present in the ambulance.

Subsequently, a fine of Rs 1000 was imposed against the driver for “violating the laws.”
Deputy commissioner of police (Hyderabad) Rahul Hegde said that we will intimate the hospital about the incident. If repeated, we will go for a criminal case. And this statement is implied for other ambulance drivers also.
