ED Conducts Early Morning Raid at AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan’s Home; Khan Claims Arrest Attempt, Cites Mother-in-Law’s Recent Cancer Surgery
Monday morning start with the AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, who said that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had come to his Okhla residence to arrest him. The raid was conducted as part of an ongoing money laundering probe, Delhipolice and CRPF contingents had been deployed outside Khan’s residence.
Khan also used X a social media platform to release a video statement of his where he accused the ED of using a search warrant to arrest him. He also showed concern towards his mother-in-law who is a cancer survivor spending few Days with him after a recent surgery, 4 days prior. Khan said he had alerted the ED about her illness, but their intention ‘cannot be anything else but to arrest me and stop our work’.

The AAP MLA also said that he has been targeted regularly for the past two years through filing of false cases against him with an intention to curb his political activism. He said, “We will not bow and we will not be afraid. They may lock us up but we shall fight and seek justice as we always do. ”

AAP MP Sanjay Singh also posted another video on X that also shows Khan in a scuffle with the ED officers and during the argument, Khan mentions his mother in law’s health condition. Singh criticised the actions of the central government by referring to them as dictators in their approach towards Khan especially when they had no proof to support their actions. This is a money laundering case associated with some financial fraud which are connected with the Delhi Waqf Board.
