About the three-wheeler beast

For the past five years, Scorpion Motorsports has been trying on building up a three-wheel motorbike called the P6; a wicked machine that looks like that it wants to tear off your face. But it has been a nook product and unlike the other three-wheelers from Morgan, Campagna, Vanderhall, and Polaris, all of which feature two seats, however P6 has only one. Even though that completely limits its usability, Scorpion Motorsports has doubled down with the introduction of its Prodigy.

The Prodigy uses the same simple steel space frame and an aluminum semi-monocoque chassis layout same as the P6, but has a 50-state legal 1.1-liter V-4 engine which produces 175 horsepower and 90 lb-ft torque. However, that may not sound like much, but with an approximate weight of just 750 lbs., the Prodigy has the power to weight in ratio to a Pagani Huayra. To keep the only rear wheel stable, the Prodigy comes standard with the traction control, a necessity which proves its capabilities.

Connecting the driver with the engine, the Prodigy uses an all together six-speed sequential gearbox which is effectively equipped with reverse. Additionally, it comprises of a set of Wilwood four-piston calipers and two-piece rotors which help you to stop the featherweight machine. The Prodigy also comes with a fully adjustable pushrod suspension, and a merely close-ratio steering rack to make this three-wheeler dive into the corner just like a scared rat.

The interior of this three-wheel beast resemble similar to an open-wheel Formula-Style racecar, with a steering wheel which has integrated shift lights, and an AIM MXL gauge which clusters that includes data logging capabilities for the track use.

Approximate price

The Scorpion Motorsports in all is aiming to keep the Prodigy’s starting price at $47,000, with options such as R Spec Aero Package, stickier Toyo Proxies tires, an upgraded double adjustable race shocks, and a stiffer anti-roll bar. The Prodigy is still in its developmental stage, with its first prototype likely to be finished soon, but we just cannot wait to drive this incredible machine on the road.
