Brangelina’s breakup, sums up 2016 as year of Breakups:- It’s official. With the sad news from Hollywood of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt — the golden couple — getting a divorce due to their irreconcilable differences, 2016 has ended up for the year of break-ups.
News of the couple filing for a divorce came on 20 September, and according to TMZ, the 41-year-old actress had filed the legal documents on Monday and has also asked for physical custody of the couple’s six children.
Sources close to the couple say that Jolie’s decision has to do with the way Pitt had been parenting the children and she was extremely upset with his methods.

2016 sums up as year of break ups
Marion Cotillard has also been supposed to be a tense point between the couple since the rumours of Pitt and the French actress being too close have surfaced in the media. Jolie has listed the date of separation as 15 September 2016.
Back at home, in Bollywood the three biggest splits that have happened this year in Bollywood are Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif; Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani, Malaika Arora Khan and Arbaaz Khan and Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma broke briefly up before getting back together.
Ranbir and Katrina had been together since the year 2009 when they starred together in the film Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani, and needless to say that the break up is still following them till date. The two actors also have a film coming together, Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos.

Another couple of Bollywood that has filed for a separation this year is Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan. They (mostly Arbaaz) tried to further vehemently deny it for the first part of the year and then decided to make it official later. While Malaika and also her younger sister Amrita Arora can still be seen bonding with the Khan-daan, but sadly they are officially separated.
Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani who got married in 2000, and filed for a divorce 16 years later earlier this year. Post-divorce, rumours of Akhtar getting cosy to Kalki Koechlin, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Shraddha Kapoor have emerged.
