The 15th Summer Paralympics or the 2016 Paralympics is lot like Olympics. It is a multi-sport event for people with some sort of disability. The games begin today (7th September) and would continue till 18th September in Rio de Janerio.

This season is special because it is the first time a South American and Latin American country is hosting the event and also two new events canoeing and the paratriathlon are being introduced. The motto for the event this time is “A New World.”
A total number of 528 events in 22 sports would be held across various locations in Rio. India has sent 7 athletes for the event.
