The flood condition in the five states of India- Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand has beendeteriorating day by day. In the light of such worsening situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised full support from the centre for rescue and relief operations.

Modi also said that Home Minister Rajnath Singh was in touch with the Chief Ministers of the flood affected areas and had asked them to take stock of the operations.
He said in a tweet- “I pray for the safety & wellbeing of those in areas affected by floods in parts UP, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan & MP.” He also tweeted that he is hoping to ‘normalise the situation in these places at the earliest.
