The Minister of Odisha, justified getting his security officer to lace up his shoes for him by saying “I’m a VIP” yesterday, changed his lines later, after getting the tight security, in the day to the lines that he has a health condition that prevents him from bending.
Minister Jogendra Behera gave the clarification, “My left leg is in a lot of pain, I can’t bend, and hence PSO (personal security officer) volunteered to tie my shoelaces. He is like my son”.
He added, “I have been consulting a doctor in AIIMS in Delhi, can show you prescriptions.”

This wasn’t the same what Jogendra Behera said when the video of him getting his laces tied started getting viral on social media.
He said then was, “I am a VIP. I’ve hoisted the flag here.”
