Tejas to be inducted on Friday

Designed by the Aeronautical Development Agency and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Tejas is a huge benefit for the Indian Air Force. Indian-built fighter jet will be inducted in the Indian Air Force on Friday at Aircraft System Testing Establishment in Bengaluru.

‘Flying Daggers’ 45 will be the name of the first squadron of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), Tejas. Air Marshal Jasbir Walia, Air Officer Commanding-in Chief, Southern Air Command will also be present.

The squadron will be moved to Sulur, Tamil Nadu after being in Bengaluru for two years.

IAF is also planning to induct 80 Tejas 1A (which will have better specifications).
