With a step forward in the direction of the integrated urban planning and development of the country, The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching the ‘Smart City’ projects at a function. The function is being organized at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi.
The project comes under an ambitious programmee of the present NDA government the ‘Smart Cities Mission’.

The PM will be launching 14 projects in Pune, accompanied with 69 for other cities, and this entire project will come up with a total investment of about Rs. 1,770 crore.
The selected 20 cities will be linked through a video conferencing.
Thus, today’s launch will also mark with the beginning of the implementation of the Urban Development plans which also include AMRUT mission.
PM will also launch the Smart Net Portal and along with this he will also inaugurate a ‘Make Your City SMART’ contest.
