Deepanshu Jindal of Delhi topped JEE Main 2016
Joint Entrance Exam Main 2016 is conducted in two forms- online as well as offline.
The paper I and II offline exam were conducted on April 3 and paper I online exam on April 9 and April 10, 2016.
A total of 12 lakh students appeared for the offline exam. The rank list of the exam was announced in June 23 on the official website – http://www.josaa.nic.in

According to the rank list released by the Central Board of Secondary Education on Thursday, JEE Main examination has been topped by Deepanshu Jindal who is a Delhiite.
The All India Rank will be based on Class 12 scores (40% weightage) and JEE Main scores (60% weightage). Admissions to BE and B Tech courses in engineering colleges would depend upon these rankings only.
The second position in the rank list was secured by Pratyush Maini and Rajesh Bansal the third.
The top 10 positions were taken by the boys.
