Amazon is all set to invest an additional USD 3 billion in its India operations to further take its investment in the country to over USD 5 billion, as per the Jeff Bezos the American e-commerce giant’s founder and CEO. This announcement was made at an event attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Amazon set to increase investment in India to USD 5 billion
Star India, a subsidiary of 21st Century Fox has also said that it will invest an additional USD 5 billion over the next three years. John Chambers the USIBC chairman has announced that in less than two years, about 20 per cent of USIBC member companies has already invested USD 28 billion in India.
He also mentioned that they are optimistic towards the given track record by Prime Minister’s Digital India and key economic reforms, and believe that this number will dramatically exceed.
