Centre ordered MP Govt to stop tiger safari in Pench National Park
The diminishing tiger population on rapid speed has been a major concern for the entire country.
There are various reasons contributing to the lessening number of tigers in India. Considering the problem, Central Zoo Authority, citing the violation of wildlife norms has asked the Madhya Pradesh Government to stop tiger safari in the state’s Pench National Park.
The Pench national park is famous as the home of Mowgli, as per the records of CZA no approach has been granted for the creation of safari at the Pench national park or Bandhavgarh tiger reserve. Which means no construction work can be carried out.

The National Tiger Conservative Authority (NTCA), a body under the Ministry of Environment and Forests, have also found various alleged violation of laws of tiger safaris in these two national parks.
NTCA has further written to the state government saying, that the current construction of tiger safari inside Pench is ‘detrimental to tiger dispersal’ and ‘exposes them to poaching’.
Madhya Pradesh is on the third spot—after Karnataka and Uttarakhand in tiger population in the country.
