According to a report, to tackle the shortage of doctors in India the Indian hospitals have decided to offer electronic intensive to provide treatment to the critically ill patients, where doctors are not present to treat them.
Recently, a doctor at India’s capital was spotted tracking a wall of monitors displaying the vital signs of intensive care patients admitted miles away, when red and yellow alert rang out.
According to a data from Medical Association the country currently needs more than 50,000 critical care specialists but has just 8,350. So to cope with the shortage Indian biggest healthcare chain, Apollo and Fortis will expand their network of electronic intensive units to provide the best services.
Well, this a welcome change and of course commendable too because this would help a large number of people.
