Small investors should invest through institutional investors: SEBI
Sebi chairman U.K Sinha has recently said that small investors should invest in equity market via institutional investors and said that he is not worried about retail investor’s participation in IPO.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Sinha said that “It would be better if they would enter market via pension fund or mutual fund route.”
He further added that “If retail investors are not investing it is not issue of tension because all over the world, including in India, retail participation historically has been for getting early in market and if they want to get in the market they should come as an informed investors.”
