The government has rejected the petition filed by a group of lawyers last year to hand over Taj Mahal to Hindus. According to a report, Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma said that government had not found any evidence to support the petition filed by them.
The six lawyers of that group had earlier told that there is substantial evidence to prove that it was originally dedicated to Lord Shiva. They earlier urged the court to declare it as a Hindu temple.
Now the petition has been rejected as there no such evidence. Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful monuments in the world and attract million of tourists every year in India.
