Bajaj launches Avenger 220 series twin bikes
Pune based Bajaj Auto has recently bolstered it’s portfolio by adding Avenger 220 and Street 220.
Both bikes use the same 219.9 cc Pulsar 220 DTS-I, single cylinder, oil cooled engine, introduced by Bajaj in 2011, delivering 17.5 Nm of torque and 18.75 hp of power.
Built on the same platform, they offer a ground clearance of 169 mm, and kerb weights of 155 and 150 kgs respectively for the Avenger Cruise and Avenger Street versions.
Riding comfort, handles, etc., accordingly have been configured according to intended usage.
A lot of chrome jazzes up the Cruise, while , the Street, aimed at city riders has more subdued all black metalwork.
At a price range of around Rs.80 thousand, the bikes offer a great money value, with the assured nationwide after sales service that the Bajaj marquee comes with.
