One of the amazing Chennai pianist, Madhav Chari passes away on Friday. He was 48 years old and use to live with his parents and brother. Madahav Chari was excellent in two subjects- mathematics and music and he completed his Ph.D in mathematics from the University of Illiois.
Pianist Anil Srinivisan said that, ” We are very close friends. He was a fiercely brilliant mind and he was a fine player. I cannot claim that I had worked with him. I can only say that I learnt a lot from him”.
Madhav Chari was born and groom up in Kolkata and spent short period of time in US also but from last 15 years he was living in Chennai. Mr Kumar who worked with him in last five years said Chari was a purist. May his soul rest in peace.
