ASI and INTACH collaborate to make World Heritage Week memorable
A grand function organized by INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) and the state govt. of Delhi took place at Jahaz Mahal, Mehrauali yesterday.
During this week, Archeological Survey of India (ASI) is collaborating with INTACH to organize heritage walks, seminars, and exhibitions across Delhi to bring awareness of the city’s rich past, spanning millenia.
They are also holding a series of exhibitions, which not only showcase the city, but also archeological sites across the nation, including those at Hastinapur, Ahirchatta, etc.
To create interest among children, a series of interesting audio visual presentations, in story form have been created.
Hopefully, these activities will go a long way in creating awareness, pride, and a sense of civic ownership among the citizens about our rich past, which will go a long way in preserving and nurturing our heritage.
