Heavy rains in coastal regions of Tamil Nadu from the last few days have caused a lot of damage to lives, livestock and property in coastal Tamil Nadu.
These rains have also disrupted life in Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu.
Earlier, the Indian Metrological Department had advised fishermen not to venture into the sea in coastal Tamil Nadu, including, Pondicherry and next Pudukkottai and Ramanathapuram
