South Korea based automotive major Hyundai Motor has recently announced a new cutting edge 1.6 litre hybrid engine.
The engine, called the Kappa 1.6-litre GDI, and delivers 147 Nm torque with 77.2 KW power. Kappa is designed to maximise fuel efficiency, and reduce the carbon footprint.
Added to it is the new 8 speed automatic transmission gearbox, which is an upgrade of their existing 6 speed automatic gearbox. The new 8-speed, it is claimed further improves fuel efficiency by a impressive 7.3 percent.
The Kappa and the 8 speed gearbox are slated to hit the market sometime in early 2016.
