Dr. Nuno Reis and his team have develped the world’s first truly portable cancer detection kit at Loughborough University, U.K.
The kit, capable of operating even at high ambient temperatures comes as a boon to poor people in remote areas, areas where high tech labs are unavailable, or for whom, the cost of testing is prohibitive.
The kit conducts 80 tests simultaneously using one blood sample, equipped with a computer for analysing the test data, and only takes fifteen minutes for the entire test.
