Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. today got a reprive from Delhi High Court, which has ordered the Department of Fertilizers to immediately resume supply of natural gas to the company.
The Government was revising it’s policy, and in the interim period had unilaterally discontinued supply of Natural Gas to Deepak Fertilizers, while continuing supply to government owned Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers and Gujarat State Fertilizer Corporation Ltd.
Rebuking the Government for not being even handed, the dual bench of Justice Jayant Nath and Justice G Rohini directed the Government to resume supply of natural gas with immediate effect to the plaintiff.
