The main protein source for the people of Tamil Nadu is Toor Daal. However, spiralling prices, which have seen toor prices spiral upto 200 per kg, have played havoc with household budgets.
To give some succor to it’s citizens, Tamil Nadu is going to sell Toor Daal at a subsidised price of Rs.110 per kg through it’s state co-operative stores.
The usual subsidy enjoyed by ration card holders will still continue, who get daal at Rs.30 per kg.
