IRCTC starts e-catering

Making it convenient for passengers, IRCTC has launched a e-catering program. Currently, the program is being tested on a pilot scale in 45 select railway stations in the east zone, including Howrah, Guwahati, Patna, etc.

Under this program, passengers have the facility to book and pay for their meals online, mentioning their train, berth and PNR number. The meal will then be delivered to them at their berth.

The menu for this will include food not only from the IRCTC Kitchen, but also from other vendors like KFC, Dominos, McDonalds, Haldiram, Bikanerwala, Sagar Ratna, etc.
