Pakistan ex- Defence Minister Chaudhary Ahmed Mukhtar has said that we had information of Laden’s secret residing place in Pakistan. ISI and Pakistani Army also had information about Osama’s secret bases, and they along with some political leaders were protecting him.
Mukhtar also said that once the US operation to extricate Osama happened, the Pakistani authorities hoped that Osama would have run away or comitted suicide like all terrorists are wont to do. That would have kept the lie alive.
