Former Indian Coal Secretary, IAS Officer H C Gupta along with four others were formally charged regarding the improper allocations of mines in Thesgora-B Rudrpuri, Madhya Pradesh.
The charges were confirmed by a special CBI Judge Bharat Parashar, and include Criminal Conspiracy, Cheating and criminal breach of trust.
Along with Gupta, two more senior IAS officers – K.S. Kropha and K.C. Samria, and two persons from the private sector – P.K. Ahluwalia, MD of Kamal Sponge Steel & Power, and his CA Amit Goyal have also been charged.
