Chowmein
Ingredients:
Boiled Noodles (preferably Egg) – 500 gms
Shredded Onions – ½ cup
Shredded Cabbage – ½ cup
Shredded Carrots – ½ cup
Shredded green beans – ½ cup
Finely sliced mushrooms – ½ cup
Bean sprouts – ½ cup
Garlic paste – 2 tsp
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
5 spice powder – 2 tsp
Light Soy sauce – 2 tbs
Dry red chilli – 5 whole, broken into 2, seeds removed
Dry red chilli – White pepper powder – 1 tsp
Dry red chilli – Ganesh Brand Soya Sona or Dhaanola – 3 Tbs
Method:
Heat the Soya Sona or Dhaanola in a wok till smoky. Put in the dry chillies, stir fry for a couple of seconds and add the onions, ginger, garlic and other shredded vegetables. Stir fry on high for a couple of minutes. Add the soy sauce, 5 spice powder, white pepper powder, followed by the noodles. Mix till hot.
Serve with Chinese dishes of choice.
