Obama’s legacy TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) faces Congress hurdle!
In the sunset of his presidency, Barak Obama has architected a trade agreement with wide reaching ramifications, and could be treated as his lasting legacy.
Involving 12 pacific rim countries, including Vietnam, New Zealand, USA, Canada among others, the treaty is Obama’s ploy to counter China. The TPP agreement has the potential to bring economies in cost of production, and generate huge employment.
However, appearing too good to be true, the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, which aims at removing tariffs from over 18 thousand product categories is facing a last minute hurdle from both Democrat and Republican congressmen.
