According to Karuna Khaitan of “Wild orchid” today’s teens like to mix and match. ‘They are not willing to spend lot of money for buying new clothes. Their budget is limited but at the same time looking for very stylish garments.” says Khaitan.
Tulle skirts are back. According to a survey demand for tulle skirts are up by 34% since the last 3 years. Though the demand is for rainbow skirts preferred colours include black and white. Teens are not just for buying tulle skirts only; they look for matching tops as well. So most of the shops offer stuffs in different colours and sizes.

Jogger pants are the darling of teenage girls and boys. Demand for jogger pants are going up day by day. Since these pants are most comfortable for all season, it is going to be a staple in any fashion look. One of the reasons for sudden spurt in demand for jogger pants is people’s love for YOGA. “Yoga is immensely popular today thanks to our Prime Minister and designers and retailers are ready to grab the opportunity,” says Pria Kataria, designer.

Vintage prom dresses are also favourite among teen girls. Not only it is cheaper than the usual apparel, by wearing prom dresses you are making style statement. In the market you will see lot of styles that suits skinny girls, though it would not work for everybody. “You need the figure and confidence to carry such dresses,” says Khaitan.

Pria Kataria feels teens today are not afraid of going bold. “They are always willing to experiment. Interestingly before going to buy new outfits, they discuss among friends and spend to fog thoughts before making it personal. That is why designers and fashion houses have a lot of hot and latest fashion trends to the teenagers,” Kataria says.
