Nawaz Sharif the Pakistani Prime Minister is attending the United Nation General assembly’s 70th session and is expected to raise the Kashmir issue.
‘The Dawn’ reported that Sharif’s speech will address issues like economic cooperation, the elimination of terrorism and Pakistan’s opposition of expansion of the membership of the United Nations Security Council.
Nawaz Sharif talked about having a plebiscite in Kashmir and demanded the implementation of UNSC’s resolutions in Kashmir, during his talks with Ban Ki-Moon, the Secretary General of UN.
He is also expected to mention incidents of border violence and tensions along the Line of Control, which separates India and Pakistan in Kashmir.
